& Elevating Learning

About Us

At edCognito, we believe every student deserves a choice-filled future—and every educator deserves the support to make that possible.  Founded by Georgia Master Teacher and veteran instructional leader Tracer Gramm, edCognito is an educational consulting firm rooted in empathy, equity, and evidence.

Tracer with his wife Lauren Summers and their four children—his daily reminder of why great education matters.

We partner with schools and districts to reimagine what’s possible through tailored curriculum design, targeted professional learning, and data-informed instructional coaching—and we don’t just advise from the sidelines.  We roll up our sleeves, model best practices, and work shoulder-to-shoulder with educators to build real solutions that stick.

Tracer’s journey began in 2003 in the rural classrooms of Dooly County Schools, where limited resources were met with an unshakable belief in student potential.  His early success earned him Georgia’s Master Teacher recognition in 2006 after just three years in the classroom. With certification in Middle Grades Mathematics and Educational Leadership, Tracer has served across elementary, middle, and high school settings—consistently delivering measurable growth regardless of zip code, race, or circumstance.

Tracer’s leadership is anchored in faith, family, and the conviction that education is one of the most powerful tools for building a better future.  He understands that meaningful change happens not just through programs and policies, but through relationships built on trust, shared vision, and doing what’s right for children.

Over the past two decades, Tracer has:

  • Led student cohorts to 30%+ academic growth, using looping strategies to sustain momentum and motivation;

  • Helped Mossy Creek Middle (Houston County Schools) rank among Georgia’s Top 25 middle schools in math performance while serving as Math Support teacher;

  • **Guided two CSI schools in Dougherty County—MLK and Morningside Elementary—**to rank #1 and #3 in the state for math growth during the 2023 Georgia Milestones;

  • Designed and implemented districtwide math units of study aligned to Georgia’s newest K–12 Math Standards;

  • Supported hundreds of schools across Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, and Louisiana as a curriculum and instruction specialist and educational technology consultant;

  • Most recently helped lead a 14-elementary-school district to a 2.58-point gain in Content Mastery—286% higher than the State’s average growth of 0.9 points, demonstrating districtwide systems impact grounded in clarity, consistency, and coaching.

From rural classrooms to district boardrooms, Tracer’s work is driven by a commitment to building safe, achievement-focused environments, developing sustainable instructional systems, and empowering educators through live modeling and ongoing coaching—especially in schools where 60% or more of teachers serve under charter-waiver status.

Most recently, in the 2024–25 school year, three additional elementary schools achieved double-digit growthsome of the strongest gains the district has ever recorded.  Lincoln Magnet Elementary grew from 70.82 to 80.95 (+10.13), Robert H. Harvey Elementary increased from 42.13 to 60.95 (+18.82), and Lamar Reese School of the Arts rose from 53.35 to 70.91 (+17.56).  These schools began in very different places—different principals, different teacher experience levels, and different school cultures.  Yet the common thread was the implementation of a real-time, in-the-trenches coaching model—and when the model was applied, growth followed.

It’s important to note that these weren’t the same two CSI schools highlighted earlier.  These were three new schools experiencing significant gains, demonstrating that this isn’t an isolated success story.  It’s a system that adapts, scales, and replicates across diverse contexts.  The message is clear: this approach works across schools, across leaders, and across classrooms.  It isn’t tied to a single building or leadership style—it’s a model that empowers teachers and students to succeed.
